MEET ETD

Long before starting her eponymous interior design studio, Eileen had fostered a love for art in its many forms. This proud lifelong Philadelphian was raised by two creatives: her father was an artist, and her mother a clothing designer, so naturally, creativity was in her DNA. Pivoting from sales & marketing management at IBM, she journeyed into a career in curation and design that began with a decade-long project curating a Sculpture Garden at her 175-year-old farmhouse in rural Pennsylvania, while also curating large-scale exhibitions throughout Philadelphia.

Eileen defines herself as a Curator, Collaborator, & Innovator, with a focus on an art-centric, bespoke approach to interior design projects, working closely with local artists & artisans that ground design concepts in reality. In addition to steering the ship of her interior design studio, Eileen has served for many years on the Board of Collab, the group supporting the Philadelphia Museum of Art's Contemporary and Modern Design Collection, as well as former Board Chair and current Board Co-Chair, in addition to serving on the Art Advisory Board of the Center for Emerging Visual Artists (CFEVA). She is a past recipient of the Philadelphia Arts & Business Council’s Business Volunteer for the Arts award. Above all, Eileen is a proud Philadelphian through and through.

Meg is a born-and-raised upstate New Yorker who fell in love with Philadelphia by way of her college sweetheart. After graduating from Syracuse University with a BFA in Environmental & Interior Design with a concentration in Print Media & Graphic Art, she moved to New York City to kickstart her design career. Meg quickly discovered a passion for fast-paced problem solving, mentorship, and large-scale programming + space planning. Her design background is primarily focused on commercial office design for a wide variety of creative clients.

Meg and Eileen have been working together on and off for over a decade, and the stars aligned in 2016 when Eileen opened her design practice. Meg moved from NYC to Philadelphia and joined ETD, where her passion for collaboration and a multidisciplinary, branding-centric approach to design is able to thrive. She is LEED GA and WELL AP-accredited . In her free time, you can be sure that Meg is either hiking deep in the woods with her dogs, or happily entangled in a fiber art project.

Emily is a Miami-native-turned-Philadelphian and Eileen Tognini Design’s FF&E specialist, researching and coordinating all things furniture and finishes from an aesthetic, functionality, and budgetary standpoint. Emily received a BA in Studio Art from Muhlenberg College in 2014 and continued her education in Illustration at The Savannah College of Art and Design. In 2016, she returned north to Philadelphia, where she worked dually as an Illustrator and Art Instructor. She has produced and collaborated on artworks across a wide range of live, digital, and printed mediums, including set, costume, and makeup design, album art, and editorial illustration.

Emily gradually pivoted toward the field of interior design, starting in the FF&E sector of residential design & build projects, and ultimately expanded her repertoire into commercial projects, joining the ETD team in 2021. Emily's passions lie within the realms of visual storytelling, collaborative creative work, and intermittently sketching her surroundings into cartoonish musings about the world around her.
